Awesome paternalism:

As a note, I link to future pundit in my blog roll, rather than the folks that link to me or that I cite most for my own psychopaternalist reasons. I feel I should be reading him, though it feels like medicine, rather than TGGP, who more often feels like porn.
I get why we are adapted to find today's unhealthy junk food delicious, but is there any reason medicine should have a bad taste? I actually think a lot of medicine doesn't taste that bad (though admittedly I haven't tasted that much), but there is some subset of medicine that has become associated with "tasting like medicine".

TGGP,
We're far afield from my expertise, but I've heard some medicines are deliberately given an unpleasant taste to deter overconsumption/overdose, particularly by children.
