I notice consciousness researchers seem to be a little hipper and better looking than typical cogsci researchers. I guess a sexy field draws sexier researchers?
5. Obama doesn't seem like to cite experts and expert consensus for his decisions. And that's a bad thing. I'd advise him to treat every executive order, speech, and q & a like a submission to a peer reviewed journal. Citations should be his best friend. It works on President-As-Role-Model level, on the propaganda level, and also a restraint against his own authoritarian principles, that threaten his ambition for a maximally impressive historical legacy.
Would that actually help his re-election chances?

TGGP, maybe not. But if he has some margin to do it, I think it'll help his historical legacy.
