We should be bubble people

Forget cars and segways, this is how we should rationally be living 24/7.

Although this mockup is for something else, it gives a decent visual of what I'm talking about:

I don't see cities being rebuilt to accomodate segways, as was suggested at its launch, but I do see cities and buildings being rebuilt to allow personal bubble technology. Living and moving about in well-engineered bubbles can solve many mortality problems. When two people want to be physically intimate, bubbles can merge the way space stations dock. I'd like this option to appear soon, basic v. 1.0 technology should already exist for it.
